Founded in 1979 by Michele and Marina Di Gaetano, the estate is now led by the next generation – Paolo, Simone and Beatrice – who have developed it into a state-of-the-art production facility while preserving the values that shaped it.
Set among the rolling hills of the Etruscan Coast, the estate manages olive groves, milling, storage and bottling on site – producing award-winning extra virgin olive oil from native Tuscan varieties including Frantoio, Moraiolo and Leccino.

Nick’s Selection
Why we chose Fonte di Foiano
Fonte di Foiano represents everything I look for in a Tuscan producer. A family deeply rooted in their landscape, working with native varieties – Frantoio, Moraiolo, Leccino and Maurino – with the skill and precision that comes from three generations of commitment.
What strikes me about their oils is the combination of intensity and elegance. The Grand Cru in particular is one of the most complex single-variety oils I have tasted – a true expression of the Etruscan Coast terroir.
Recognition from Flos Olei, Bibenda, Gambero Rosso and Slow Food over more than a decade confirms what the oils themselves make clear: Fonte di Foiano is among Italy’s finest.
