Nick's experience

“I first tried De Carlo’s Arcamone made from the Coratina cultivar right after it was named Flos Olei’s Best Extra Virgin Olive Oil of 2025, and the recognition made complete sense. The flavour hits you in a balanced way a gentle bitterness at first, then a clean, steady peppery finish that lingers. You immediately pick up fresh, green notes of almond or cutting into an artichoke.
It pairs well with chargrilled vegetables, grilled porcini, and hearty pulse soups. It lifts simple tomato salads and brings a real depth to vegetable soups. It’s one of those oils that makes basic dishes taste intentional.”
